Open Access Policy

The International Journal of Refugee, Minority, and Gender Studies (IJRMGS), proudly published by the International Center for Refugee and Migration Studies (ICRMS) at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Quetta, Pakistan, is committed to adhering to the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) standards for open access publishing. As an advocate for the free dissemination of knowledge, the IJRMGS operates under an open access model, ensuring that all of our published content is available to readers around the world without charge or subscription barriers.

In line with our commitment to open scholarship and the democratization of knowledge, the IJRMGS provides immediate, free access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. This approach aligns with our mission to spread awareness and understanding of various urgent social matters, particularly those concerning refugee, gender, and minority issues.

Under our open access policy:

  • All articles published by the IJRMGS are accessible online without any financial, legal, or technical barriers, other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.
  • Readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without seeking prior permission from the publisher or the author, in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
  • Authors retain rights to their work under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

By embracing open access, the IJRMGS aims to foster a wider global conversation among scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and the general public, thereby facilitating the engagement with and impact of the research we publish. We believe that open access is essential to the rapid and efficient advancement of science and education, enabling the results of research to contribute to the knowledge base on critical issues affecting societies worldwide.
